Given Gardens is a certified organic, small (5 acre), market garden located just 7 miles outside of Decorah, Iowa and is managed by Nathan and Sarah Wicks. For the 2011 season we will be attending the Decorah Farmers Market and the Downtown Cedar Rapids Market. We are also introducing a CSA program for 18 weeks from June-October. We focus on specialty and heirloom vegetables and greens, fresh herbs, and fresh and dried cut flowers.
Given Gardens was created in 2010 after two years of farming internships in southern California and southeast Minnesota. We are also graduates of the Farm Beginnings course, offered through the Land Stewardship Project of Minnesota. Combined, we offer 6 years of farming experience.
We continue to feel very blessed to have the opportunity to engage with so many wonderful people at the Farmers Markets and other community events.
